1. Current website setup
The current public website is a static site hosted on Vercel. It does not intentionally set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. It uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated website statistics. Vercel states that this analytics product does not use third-party cookies by default and does not provide GameSloth with directly identifying visitor profiles.
2. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file stored by a website in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and device identifiers. Some are necessary for a service to work, while others are used for analytics or advertising.
3. Essential technologies
Essential storage can be used to remember security, authentication, language, checkout or consent choices. These technologies do not normally require optional marketing consent when they are strictly necessary for the requested service.
4. Analytics
GameSloth currently uses privacy-focused Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregated page views, referrers, device categories and general location. The public site does not use custom analytics events containing account emails, usernames or other personal identifiers.
5. Future marketing or tracking tools
If GameSloth later adds non-essential advertising pixels, cross-site tracking or privacy-sensitive analytics, the website will ask for consent before activating them where required. Refusing optional tracking will not block normal access to the public website.
6. Browser controls
You can remove or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent login, checkout or other requested features from working.
